Port\u00e9 par Arianna Passaretti<\/a> et Alexandra Lefebvre<\/a> et men\u00e9 en collaboration avec le Mus\u00e9e International d\u2019Horlogerie, l\u2019EPFL et la NOVA University de Lisbonne, le projet DRYLU <\/a><\/strong> s\u2019est donn\u00e9 pour but d\u2019explorer une possible alternative innovante aux lubrifiants traditionnels : les lubrifiants solides, ou \u2018secs\u2019, dans une perspective de pr\u00e9servation du patrimoine scientifique et technique.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pourquoi cette approche ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les lubrifiants sont un \u00e9l\u00e9ment essentiel pour la pr\u00e9servation du patrimoine scientifique, technique et industriel. Ils servent au maintien de la fonctionnalit\u00e9 des objets, de laquelle d\u00e9pend aussi leur valeur historique et artistique.
Si les lubrifiants classiques (huiles, graisses) jouent un r\u00f4le essentiel dans la pr\u00e9vention de l\u2019usure des m\u00e9canismes, ils pr\u00e9sentent des limites pour la conservation \u00e0 long terme des objets : d\u00e9gradation, interactions chimiques, maintenance fr\u00e9quente\u2026 Autant d\u2019enjeux qui peuvent compromettre l\u2019int\u00e9grit\u00e9 des objets patrimoniaux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dans le cadre du projet DRYLU, des tests de vieillissement acc\u00e9l\u00e9r\u00e9 ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9s sur des mod\u00e8les, dans diff\u00e9rentes conditions, pour explorer le potentiel des lubrifiants secs et \u00e9valuer leur compatibilit\u00e9 avec les surfaces m\u00e9talliques patrimoniales, ainsi que leur performance et leur ad\u00e9quation avec l\u2019\u00e9thique du domaine de la Conservation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
