Metrology & Industrial Vision

In order to meet industrial quality control requirements, expert knowledge of measurement techniques and their limitations has become a necessity, due, in particular, to increasingly restrictive dimensional tolerances.

The purpose of our group is to bring you innovative metrology and inspection solutions developed by applied research, and provide services based on cutting-edge measurement instruments, such as tomography.

Image viewing and analysis expertise in the industrial environment allows us to deliver solutions relating to machine intelligence, process flexibility and production traceability.

  • Dimensional metrology: dimensional measurements with micrometric precision, using mechanical probing, microscopic techniques or X-ray tomography.
  • Industrial vision: the development of automated vision systems for production lines, for the purposes of dimensional and aesthetic quality control, as well as manufacturing process and product traceability.
  • Quality engineering: expertise in the fields of test equipment capability analyses, statistical process control, experimental design, as well as product-related standards.
  • Advanced optical sensing: development of advanced optical sensors and measurement systems, such as fiber optic sensors, interferometric systems and three-dimensional vision systems.
