The Certificate of Advanced Studies in Software Engineering and Agile Methods (CAS-GMA) allows you to manage your software development projects and make them successful.

Program

The Certificate of Advanced Studies in Software Engineering and Agile Methods (CAS-GMA) allows you to efficiently manage the life cycle of an IT project, to design applications using standards (Design Patterns), to integrate agility in the management and implementation, to industrialize and measure the quality of an IT project and to lead a group of developers as a project manager.

This CAS is part of the Master of Advanced Studies in Rapid Application Development (MAS-RAD).

The CAS-GMA is composed of several modules that can be taken independently.

Skills

You will be able to:

  • efficiently manage the life cycle of an IT project
  • implement agile methods in the management and execution of software development projects
  • implement software industrialization practices and measure the quality of an IT project
  • design an application using Design Patterns
  • lead a group of developers as a project manager

Target Audience

This CAS is mainly intended for engineers without an IT degree; however, it could be of interest to experienced IT engineers wishing to evolve in the new community web technologies and in project management.

You must have a Bachelor’s degree or an engineering diploma (ETS, HES, EPF) in microengineering, mechanics, electronics, civil engineering or any other field or an equivalent university degree.

Otherwise, admission decisions could be based on the quality of your application file, within the limits of the quota authorized by the HES-SO.
